ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our newly created Warehouse team in our brand new facility in Tarneit. This is a permanent, full time position with regular working hours of 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fashion warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate processing of stock across retail, wholesale, and eCommerce channels. This includes leading a small team to ensure seamless pick-pack, receipt, dispatch, and returns processes, while maintaining high standards in garment handling, inventory accuracy, and warehouse safety.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will –
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse operations, ensuring best practices are followed in the handling of fashion garments, including hung and flat-packed apparel, footwear, and accessories.
- Oversee accurate picking, packing, and dispatching of orders across all channels, prioritising key drops and seasonal peaks.
- Ensure proper stock storage to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor and support the team during high-volume periods and during new collection launches, markdowns, sample sales etc.
- Process customer returns, including quality checks and re-allocation.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through organised storage and consistent stock rotation.
- Support ongoing stock takes and cyclical counts, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Planning teams to ensure timely stock replenishment and allocation to stores and online channels.
- Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse team members, ensuring adherence to processes and brand standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and pride in product handling.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with WHS guidelines.
- Identify and address safety risks, role modelling safe practices, and ensuring team members understand and follow safety protocols.
- Ensure team compliance with all V&W policies, procedures, and OH&S requirements.
