ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Production & Supply Chain Manager to join our team, based predominantly at our Hawthorn East head office, with travel and attendance required, at one day per week at minimum, to our Warehouse located in Tarneit.
This is a senior operational role with a strong offshore production and commercial focus, responsible for leading the end-to-end production, supplier, costing, logistics and warehouse process for Viktoria & Woods. The role ensures product is delivered on time, to brand cost and quality standards and in line with the commercial needs of the business. Additionally, the role will be responsible for freight strategy, landed cost, margin protection and supply chain commercial efficiency.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead a team that includes production and warehouse operations and work cross-functionally with design, buying, merchandising, planning, finance and retail/eCommerce.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Production Management: Manage the full production lifecycle from development handover through to bulk delivery, owning critical path management, factory delivery performance and production tracking across all suppliers, categories and delivery windows.
Supplier & Factory Management: Build and manage strong, accountable relationships with predominantly offshore factories, as well as local factories, mills, trim suppliers and freight partners. Negotiate commercially strong outcomes on pricing, payment terms, delivery timing and production efficiencies. Drive supplier performance through scorecards, seasonal reviews and corrective action where required.
Costing, Margin & Commercial Efficiency: Own and challenge product costings across all cost components - fabric, trims, CMT, freight, duty, packaging and handling - to ensure margins are protected. Identify and address margin leakage across product, supplier, freight and production processes, and ensure the business has accurate landed-cost visibility before final buys are placed.
Freight, Logistics & Warehouse: Take strategic ownership of freight and logistics, driving cost reduction, improving consolidation and minimising unnecessary air freight, split shipments and poor carton utilisation. Oversee warehouse operations, working closely with the Warehouse Manager, to ensure efficient inbound stock flow, receipting and dispatch in support of trade calendars, retail drops and eCommerce fulfilment.
Quality Control & Risk Management: Ensure quality standards are clearly communicated and maintained across all suppliers. Implement supplier scorecards and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, cost and communication.
